Sydney Metro West is one of Australia’s largest rail infrastructure projects, requiring a robust and proven cyber security operations capability across a 15-year contract term. RATP DEV, engaged to operate and maintain the metro, needed to demonstrate to Sydney Metro a credible and costed cyber security monitoring function — encompassing both the technology and the ongoing operation — to support their competitive proposal. With OT environments inherently complex and the stakes high for safety-critical rail operations, RATP DEV needed a partner with deep metro cyber security experience to lead this function with confidence.

L2iQ is leading the design and cost modelling for the cyber security monitoring technology stack — including Network Intrusion Detection Systems (NIDS), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and Privilege Access Management (PAM) — and providing the full CAPEX and OPEX lifecycle estimates required for the 15-year contract term.
